Description

We are looking for a Developer who will be responsible for implementing complex business software solutions and who would be capable of designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance.

Our new colleague should be flexible, motivated, able to adapt in a dynamic environment, able to efficiently communicate with other development team members, pro-active in finding new ways for improvement.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of work experience in a similar position;
  • Strong SQL development skills;
  • Experience with Microsoft full Database Stack (T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS);
  • Experience with reporting tools (Reporting Services);
  • Experience in various Insurance industry is a plus;
  • Familiarity in working with Agile methodology would be an advantage;
  • Time management skills;
  • Multi-tasking abilities;
  • Ability to work independently or collaborate with team members when necessary;
  • University degree – preferable computer Sciences or related technical disciplines.

Key responsibilities

  • Actively participates in all the project stages of product implementation: pre-sales, business analysis, design, execution (customization and configuration), testing, deployment and usability;
  • Create Entity-Relationship (ER) Diagrams to the proposed database;
  • Create database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, triggers and functions to provide custom functionality as per the requirements;
  • Develop reports in SQL Server Reporting Services;
  • Realizes database imports and reports (MS SQL, Reporting Services, Excel);
  • Identify and write best possible code in case of new deployments or when rewriting code when migrating to a newer version of SQL Server;
  • Participate in discussions involving the application creation and understand the requirements and provide the back-end functionality for the applications;
  • Together with the client, defines business requirements and provides counseling and support in defining business functionality; responsible for writing the functional specifications document;
  • Works closely with the PM and technical architect to identify the best business solution and analyze the ability to change the application environment, assesses the impact of changes of existing environment: application, infrastructure and operations;
  • Assists the implementation with business information during the technical analysis;
  • Ensures that workflow and internal (IT) procedures are applied within the business process and it is compliant with external and internal regulations and procedures;
  • Tests the applications (internal testing) and takes part in UAT: provides application training to the key users, ensures support through the testing process.

On the long run:

  • Provide post-implementation support
  • Participate in the development and creation of Data warehouses, BI solutions
  • Create cubes in SQL Server Analysis Services
  • Design, Develop and Deploy SSIS Packages
  • Might participate in customer-centric solutions development and implementations (CRM, BI, web, mobile) and also custom solutions development
